Jackie Gower (Penny Wise)

Jackie openly admits to having an uncontrollable spending addiction until she stumbled upon money saving website Simple Savings in 2004. Using plain English tips for the average householder, Jackie rapidly transformed herself from hopeless spender to money saving whiz. She went on to become part of the Simple Savings team and now manages the NZ site www.simplesavings.co.nz. Jackie shares her financial ups and downs along with valuable money saving tips under the pen name Penny Wise and her frank and humorous blog has a readership of over 50,000. She lives with her husband, two children and a menagerie of animals in the heart of rural Waikato.
